california women for agriculture
The San Luis Obispo Chapter of California Women for Agriculture is a passionate community of advocates dedicated to supporting and strengthening California agriculture. As part of a statewide organization founded in 1975, our members come from a wide range of agricultural backgrounds - including farmers, ranchers, educators, students, agricultural professionals, and community members who share a commitment to protecting our state's most vital industry. Across California, CWA members work to educate the public, advocate for agriculture, and build meaningful connections between producers and consumers.
Our chapter's mission is to promote and protect the agricultural industry through public relations, education, and legislative advocacy. We believe that informed communities create a stronger future for agriculture, and we are proud to serve as a trusted voice for the industry throughout San Luis Obispo County.
Throughout the year, we host general monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, agricultural updates, educational programs, and networking opportunities for members and guests. Whether you're involved in agriculture professionally or simply want to learn more about where your food and fiber comes from, our meetings provide a welcoming place to connect and stay informed.
Supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders is at the heart of what we do. Through our fundraising efforts, the San Luis Obispo Chapter proudly provides funding for our collegiate internship that offers hands-on experience in agricultural communications and leadership, as well as youth scholarships that help local students pursue their agricultural passions and education goals.
Together, we are cultivating future advocates, strengthening our agricultural community, and ensuring that California agriculture continues to thrive for generations to come. We invite you to join us in making a difference.
